New Addition: LEGO Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy
LEGO seems an odd choice for this sort of title, though it does relieve the burden of having to come up with realistic character designs as seen in less-than-successful games like Star Wars: Episode I: The Phantom Menace. LEGO Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy expands the whimsical action/adventure of the first game to include select missions plucked from the first three movies. The gameis clearly aimed at a younger audience, as the gameplay is fairly simplistic hack-and-slash fare - with characters resurrected immediately afer they "die". It's certainly fun to watch the creatively adapted cut scenes - maybe moreso than the game controls which, on a PC are rather clunky. Nevertheless, LEGO Star Wars II is definitely worth a look for Star Wars fans and kids - particularly LEGO fans.

Star Trek XI Poster
The poster from Star Trek XI was released yesterday. It doesn't exactly give away the plot of the movie, but it does show the world that the next movie will take place sometime during the era of "The Original Series" I'm looking forward to it, but then again, it just needed to be a Star Trek movie to make me look forward to it.

True Star Wars fans will mourn at the news; Episodes IV-VI will be low quality (copied off of laserdiscs, at that), and sold only with all six movies. This is only due to Lucas' petty hatred of the original cut and fear that sales of IV-VI will outsell I-III.
