HBO Episode 3 - at last a GOOD star wars movie!
I caught Episode 3 on HBO yesterday. GREAT movie. I love tragedies, and this film was entertaining throughout. I especially loved the final ~30 minutes as Anakin is transformed into Darth Vader, and Pa'dme' struggles to give birth & dies. Sad. Very, very sad. And great story-telling. . It's too bad the other movies were not as good. Episode 2 was adequate

. Empire is the best of the Old Trilogye, but if you subtract the nostalgia bias, and look at it objectively, it's no better than Episode 3. Empire has several flaws and slow spots where my attention wanders.

"With regards to Star Wars, I sort of erred in including that as I was intimating that it had the Bible as source material when actually only a few themes from the Bible actually apply. The movie/trilogy that I should've used was The Matrix. " Ok...am I the ONLY one who gets a little bothered when I see people constantly saying the Matrix takes several of its motifs from the Bible? Its clearly Budhism/Hinduism, and while similarity exists between that and christianity, only marginally so, and the movie is clearly hindu in nature. Especially if you follow the whole trilogy, but even in the first one. Heck..the first movie has people telling Neo he has come before but not finished his destiny, and he might do it this time or come again later. That aint christian in the slightest. Christ came one. That is hinduism to a tee.
