New Addition: LEGO Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy
LEGO seems an odd choice for this sort of title, though it does relieve the burden of having to come up with realistic character designs as seen in less-than-successful games like Star Wars: Episode I: The Phantom Menace. LEGO Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy expands the whimsical action/adventure of the first game to include select missions plucked from the first three movies. The gameis clearly aimed at a younger audience, as the gameplay is fairly simplistic hack-and-slash fare - with characters resurrected immediately afer they "die". It's certainly fun to watch the creatively adapted cut scenes - maybe moreso than the game controls which, on a PC are rather clunky. Nevertheless, LEGO Star Wars II is definitely worth a look for Star Wars fans and kids - particularly LEGO fans.
